Dr. Travis Hunt, a Southern California native, is a dentist recognized for his rare combination of advanced surgical expertise, compassionate care, and lifelong dedication to service. A graduate of the University of Southern California, School of Dentistry, he went on to serve as a U.S. Army dentist, where he completed advanced surgical training and clinical rotations alongside Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery teams at Walter Reed Medical Center and General Leonard Wood Army Community Hospital. Following this training, he served as an Army Exodontist, focusing exclusively on complex surgical extractions, including impacted wisdom teeth and advanced oral surgical cases.
After his military service, Dr. Hunt broadened his expertise through a Fellowship in Oral Implantology with the University of Nevada, Las Vegas School of Dental Medicine and the California Implant Institute. His skill in implant placement and full-mouth rehabilitation earned him Fellowship status with the International Congress of Oral Implantology.
To better serve patients with dental anxiety, Dr. Hunt pursued advanced anesthesia training. He is Advanced Cardiac Life Support and IV sedation certified, and holds the distinguished Master title from the College of Sedation Dentistry—an achievement requiring passage of the rigorous Master examination from the American Dental Society of Anesthesiology.
Committed to innovation, Dr. Hunt expanded his surgical expertise through robotic-assisted implant surgery, achieving a high degree of precision in complex implant placement. His pioneering work in this field was recognized internationally, including publication in a leading Implantology journal. He later advanced his training at the Swiss BioHealth Center in Switzerland, focusing on ceramic implants and biological approaches to surgical dentistry. These techniques utilizing metal-free ceramic implants, biological grafting, and reconstructive procedures, reflect his commitment to whole-body wellness. His work was further recognized when he won first place for a published surgical case at the Joint Congress for Ceramic Implantology in Switzerland.
Dr. Hunt’s commitment to service extends far beyond the clinic. He has participated in 19 international dental missions and continues to support local charity clinics. As Vice President of AYUDA International, a nonprofit dental organization, he helps provide more than $1 million in free dental care annually worldwide. His dedication to humanitarian work has been recognized with multiple honors, including Rotary International Man of the Year in 2016 and induction as a Paul Harris Fellow in 2017.
Outside of dentistry, Dr. Hunt is a published author in philosophy and a lifelong martial artist, holding a black belt in Hapkido and years of experience teaching self-defense to women and youth. He also finds balance through yoga, meditation, and meaningful conversations—practices that help him connect with his patients as whole individuals, not just their dental needs.
